The Diploma of Patristic Theology requires the completion of five courses.
Description
Diploma of Patristic Theology is a study of Patrology which will introduce the student to the theological writings of the Church Fathers and their important contribution to the formation of Orthodox theology and their reflect to the formative period of the Church’s history. Students will examine some of the following theological themes in the Early Church Fathers: Trinity, Christology, Soteriology, Theological Anthropology, Ecclesiology, and sacramental theology. The goal of the course is to introduce these early Christian theologians as the great teachers of the Orthodox faith or doctrine and highlight their contribution through the Fathers’ explanation of the Christian dogma, and their refutation of heresies. Also to help students understand the importance of the questions the Church Fathers were seeking to answer.

Church.
●They will explore the writings of the Early Church Fathers,
appreciating the vast treasure present therein.
●They will grow in their faith as a result of their exposure
to the writings of the Early Church Fathers.

writings of the Early Church Fathers.
●They understand and appreciate the foundational
contributions of the Early Church Fathers to the
development of Church teaching.

Description
It is a higher degree by research in patristic Theology, designed for individuals who bring a foundation in theology. The purpose of the Master of Theology (Research) is to qualify individuals to apply an advanced body of knowledge in theology in a range of contexts and to provide a pathway for possible further learning.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
●Four year Bachelor degree from a theological school in an appropriate discipline submitting its official transcript.
●Holders of Bachelor Degree in theology will have their
previous academic record evaluated to determine what
further work is required to establish equivalence to the
(SAI) diploma degree, and before beginning the (TH.M.)
program.
This will typically involve at least one
additional year of full time study of Patristic
theology before beginning the TH.M. program.
●Holding a Diploma in Patristic Theology from (SAI) which needs to have been assessed at 75% or higher.
●One copy of each transcript is required from all
colleges, universities, seminaries, or theological
schools that you have attended.
Each transcript
should contain a list of all coursework taken,
grades/marks received, and, if applicable, degree
granted and date of degree confirmation.
